Darien High School Class of 1962

By choice or accident you have come across the Home Page for the Darien High School Class of '62 website. This site contains both historical and current information for the use of this very dynamic group of people. At a point in time many years ago we shared a collection of common experiences as we struggled to figure out who we were and how we might ultimately fit into the world we were just beginning to understand. Since then we have occasionally gathered as a group to check our progress. We have members that have lived on 6 of the 7 continents, trades people, authors, actors, business people, civil servants, career military and all nature of other occupations. Many are now making decisions on retirement and considering plans for the next chapter in their lives. We hope you find the site both interesting and useful. If you are a classmate, we encourage you to stay in touch. It is the ongoing contact that keeps us as a group, and the site, interesting.

12/30/11 Our Holiday luncheon was a fun gathering of about 20 people. We took a shot at solving most of the world's problems, got caught up on what has been happening in each of our lives and did it all over a great meal. I have dropped a few pictures in the "Classmate Notes" section. I would really encourage any classmates to attend these very informal lunches as we always have a great time and would like to share it with a larger group!

12/12/11 Plans for our winter Holiday luncheon are now complete. We will be celebrating again at the Red Barn Restaurant, exit 41 on the Merritt in Westport. (Red Barn Restaurant) . This is a great country inn style restaurant with lots of good food and ambiance.We will get together at 11:45 am. Luncheons are informal and lots of fun. Generally a couple of dozen folks attend. Last year we had over 30. We will need a headcount for the restauant by December 8th at the latest - please contact Kathy Gambling Chiappetta to RSVP Kathy. We would all like to see a few new faces!

5/25/11 We have now set a date for our annual early Summer Lunch. We will again be celebrating at Knapps Landing Restaurant in Stratford. It is a wonderful waterside venue with deck seating overlooking local boat traffic. I really encourage anyone in or out of the area to join us for some good food and laughs. Information and directions are available at Knapps Landing We usually get together around 11:30. Lunch will be at 12:00 noon. Lunches are informal and lots of fun. We will need a headcount by the 18th of May - please contact Kathy Gambling Chiappetta to RSVP Kathy.

11/28/10 Your 2012 Class Reunion Committee is getting restless. Already quiet e-mails are beginning to circulate about what, when, etc. We encourage you to offer input on "your" reunion. Feel free to pass along any thoughts to Gil Kellersman ( Gil )or Kathy Gambling Chiappetta ( Kathy) and watch here for information as it develops.
