Reunion Weekend ~ October 5-7, 2007
Events
Friday (Day)
Golf ~ Eighteen holes at The Country Club of Darien. Four foursomes got off to an early start with the first tee time at 8:00. The morning start gave golfers an opportunity to take advantage of afternoon and evening activities.
A Tour and Lunch ~ Ruth Anne Ramsey conducted a walking tour of "downtown" Darien followed by a fun informal gathering for lunch at the Sugar Bowl.
Friday (Eve)
Piedmont Club ~ We drifted back to the 60s for a few hours with friends from years gone by. This casual Italian themed event was complete with checkered tablecloths and Chianti bottles and a great Italian buffet. It feartued The Green Mountain Boys (Ed Malozzi, Pete Wolcott and Bill Bedford) still at it after all these years! There was also a strolling magician to amuse & amaze guests.
Saturday (Day)
A Day at the Beach ~ Spectacular weather contributed to a teriffic picnic with classmates at Weed Beach. The grills were working, the soft drinks cold, the coffee hot and the atmosphere relaxed and fun. The Good Humor man even came by to round out the afternoon.
Saturday (Eve)
Dinner, Dancing & More ~ Classmates met at The Country Club of Darien for a cocktail hour followed by an outstanding three course buffet with open seating. Entertainment was provided by the Sentinels, a renown a capella doo wop group as well as a DJ. Both the food and the music were outstanding.
Sunday
Farewell Brunch ~ Many classmates got together one last time at theDoubletree Hotel buffet brunch. It was a good opportunity to compare notes on a fantastic weekend and bid old and new friends goodby until next time!
